A short note about brain waves and how they work…
I organize my tasks into 3 ‘broad’ categories but I meet my mind depending on the state that it’s in. I’m sure everyone can relate to those moments where we had to cram for a test that we were clearly not ready for; it’s like fighting an uphill battle.
Instead, I have a simple practice of asking myself “what’s the best move right now?” and doing it.
My ‘task of the moment’ falls under 3 broad catagories
Create (is this a moment I feel that I can write or create something new)
Consume (am I focused enough to read or study something or take in new information or new environments)
Clean (if I don’t want to use my brain at all, I’ll simply clean and organize and eliminate the chaos that piles up … which ironically is also where my best ideas to CREATE come from)
I simply move from these 3 broad categories one after another and meet myself where I’m at. Instead of forcing myself to work, I flow with my own brain states.
What state are you in right now? What’s the best use of your time?
Can you Create? Consume? or Clean effectively right now?
