Rose-Colored Glasses
To create something great, to live the life you desire and dream about requires stepping into the unknown. It requires stepping into discomfort and doing it often. We must always be in the frontier of creation.
Thing is, most people don’t do this willingly. Usually, some external event is required to shock our systems and kick it into overdrive: a brutal breakup, an inextinguishable fire, a lockdown… something that flips our daily habit of drifting/coasting on its head and forces us to change whether we like to or not…
It’s moments like these are truly blessings in disguise if you remember the one simple truth: you decide. You decide if something will make you or break you, and if it does break you in the moment, not to worry; life is full of unlimited chances until you get it right. Until the clock permanently stops ticking its never too late.
Chances are you know what needs to be done, and it doesn’t involve watching another video or course or ‘planning’. Sometimes in life, you gotta put yourself in situations where you ‘build the parachute on the way down’. No other way to it, it’s only when we are tested and all is at stake that we truly grasp the substance of what we are made of.
But, there is a caveat. MINDSET. Can you be relaxed in the face of danger? Can you calmly observe and get out of your head/opinions to truly see things as they are and not how you want them to be?
It’s a mistake in perception. Adding our opinions to things that we have no business adding our opinions to. Giving up too soon because through our strict guidelines ‘we failed.’ No… we learned. So we can get back up.
I used to be angry. I used to be worried. I used to constantly push against a glass ceiling forcing things to happen. And, I did this so much I missed out on living… for about 5 years.
No matter where you are at in life. Look around. You can paint the lens of your reality in sad music, and somber lighting. Or you can decide to look at it with rose colored glasses.
Desire everything. Desire the world. But, learn to be at peace with the ‘now’. Frustration and Anger and dysfunctional feelings should have no home in your reality or your life or your mind. It does not serve you.
When you begin to open your eyes with child-like wonder, when you laugh at the little things, when you catch yourself and be playful in all the seriousness of the situation and how much of a mountain out of a molehill you created, you will discover a secret.
That all good things come from a pleasant state. And, it’s merely a matter of choice.
See the beauty in all it is you do. Look yourself in the mirror. Look at who you are. Look at how far you’ve come. This is yours!
Build towards something.
have your head in the clouds but your feet firmly planted in the ground.
Live a little. You can have it all, as soon as you believe and choose that you can.
To your monumental success my friend.
